About Kelly...

I was born and raised in New Jersey about 30 miles outside New York City.  I am the middle of three daughters.  I've always lived on the east coast except for the two years I lived in Michigan while in graduate school. From there I thought maybe I’d continue west to start up a furniture design studio and paint in the beautiful desert light.  Instead NYC called me back.  I was glad to be back home near my family and friends. Especially now as I think about being a Mom. I couldn't imagine my child growing up and not being surrounded by his or her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

I love to travel and visit new places.  Before we were married Eric and I took a trip to Portugal and Spain. This is a picture Eric took of me sitting in the sculpture garden at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Lisbon, Portugal

I'm an exhibition designer and work for an art museum in NYC designing the fixtures and displays needed to exhibit the art work.  Through my work I've had the opportunity to meet and work with artists from all over the world.  As an eternal learner, this is the perfect job for me, plus I have the added bonus of a flexible work schedule.

Hiking in Maine this past summer. I love spending time outdoors.  It recharges my battery and I enjoy the quiet and open views.  Sometimes I'll bring my sketch book along and draw or write and just let my mind wander...

I'm an avid reader. Science-fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, biographies, I love them all.  It started young with trips to the library. My mom used to take me and my sisters on rainy summer days. I'd bring home my books and sit by the screen door in the family room and read and listen to the rain. When my older sister went to college I remember leafing through her books especially if they had maps.  I'm a sucker for maps.  Today, I have books in every room of the house.  I can't wait to have a little one to cuddle with and read to and one day share my love of reading and learning.

Hobbies: biking, hiking, drawing, reading, visiting art museums, cooking

At a Brooklyn Cyclones game with my godson, Matthew. Even at the age of 2 1/2  he was a total sports fanatic.  He lives close by and we get to hangout often and do lots of fun stuff together.

About Kelly (by Eric)...

(Kelly holding our nephew Ryan) Kelly will be an energetic and patient Mom.  Devoted to making our child feel loved, special and understood.

There are a number of things I love, admire, and appreciate about Kelly. But as a part of all of the things, there is a constant thread of a positive energy, passion and enthusiasm in everything she does.  From the day I met her, she has been a very real and honest person, interested in everything anyone has to say to her.  She is a person who you want as a friend, she listens and thinks about what I have to say and gives me support and feedback that I really hold dear in my own growth through life.  I feel lucky to be a part of her life and look forward to our future together. I couldn't have wished for a better partner to move through the challenges.  She puts forth this energy in all of her efforts as well, and this is evident within both her personal friendships/family as well as professional life.  I love her character and will.  Being a part of her life leaves me every day with a smile and I look forward to growing old and gray with her and our prospective family.
